From July 17 to 18, 2025, Chery Group successfully held the 2025 Global Summer Camp in Wuhu, Anhui Province, attracting outstanding students from universities in China and abroad. Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s School of Mechanical Engineering organized a student delegation composed of three international students from Malaysia, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. The team participated in the summer camp under the guidance of Tianzi Bi, engaging in an in-depth experience that integrated industrial practice, cross-cultural exchange, and career exploration.

On the morning of the first day, Chery's senior executives delivered keynote speeches to all participants. From the company’s development strategy and business layout to its technological advantages, the presentations comprehensively showcased Chery’s strength as a leading Chinese automobile manufacturer. During the technical demonstration session, Chery’s engineering innovation capabilities left a deep impression on all attendees.

  In the afternoon, participants had the opportunity to experience Chery’s latest generation of new energy vehicles. Most of these models are designed for comfort without compromising driving range, aiming to become the most efficient top-tier hybrid vehicles. Several of Chery’s top engineers also attended the session, patiently introducing their creations and sharing their design philosophies.

On July 18, participants visited Chery’s laboratories and testing facilities. The scale of the main facilities was twice that of SJTU’s Minhang campus. Students were able to witness how vehicle safety is tested and how crash test dummies are made.

  That evening, Chery invited several of its best-performing employees to join the camp's gala dinner. They shared their valuable experiences and answered all of the students’ questions. Through these face-to-face exchanges, participants gained a deeper understanding of Chery’s operations and what they could gain by joining the company.

Two members of MEISU (ME International Students Union) shared their reflections on this experience. Manik said: “The summer camp organized by Chery was a great opportunity to learn, make new friends, and strengthen the bonds among SJTU participants. I thoroughly enjoyed all the activities arranged by the organizers and gained valuable insights through discussions with students from both domestic and international universities. Overall, this experience was not only educational but also very enjoyable. It was truly a memorable and worthwhile trip.”

Qing Yang added: “Chery’s summer camp brought us into the world of automobile manufacturers, allowing us to visit their testing facilities and headquarters in Wuhu, listen to the ideas and advice of their best employees, and gain a comprehensive understanding of one of China’s top-performing automakers. This opportunity also gave us the chance to meet outstanding students from other universities and connect with brilliant individuals from around the world.”

Chery Group’s Global Summer Camp continues to provide a dynamic platform for students to cross borders, explore future career paths, and experience China’s leading industrial innovation up close. For the MEISU team and all participants, the 2025 summer camp was a meaningful and unforgettable journey.
