2) Check if   there are any uncompleted courses.

3) Check if GPA   is higher than 2.7.

Submit the application   form, and maintain academic achievements(我的学术成果) via My-SJTU App

5:00pm, April   16, 2026

(Thursday)

1)Submit Attachment 1   to Graduate Affairs Office, Room 102 Mechanical Building A.

2) The degree   application should be completed via “My SJTU App-Graduate-My Degree(我的学位)” (you can   directly search for "My Degree"). Please maintain academic   achievements first（if you have,   click “新增”, if you   don’t have any achievements, you don’t need to do this step）, and remind   your supervisor to promptly review it via My-SJTU App. Then, check whether   you have upload your degree photo(学术照片-已上传), if not,   please proceed to the Spring-Pic website at http://www.spring-pic.com upload   promptly, to avoid any impact on your thesis defense.

(Thursday)

1) The secretary teacher is designated by the discipline or department and   is responsible for organizing the defense procedures. Once the defense   secretary is registered(around April 21), you can view the information in My-SJTU   App(答辩秘书), and should   maintain contact with the secretary. After the defense secretary is   registered, students can upload the thesis for repetition check via My-SJTU   App.

2) The chance of repetition check is only ONCE, please make sure to   upload the exact final version and the required format. (see attachment 3), after uploading, please remind your   supervisor to review via My-SJTU App

3) You should wait for the repetition check result, we will send it to   your mailbox in about 3 days. If you failed in repetition check, you   cannot go on with next steps.

Supervisor review the repetition check result, then   student do the sample check（论文抽检）

5:00pm, April   26, 2026

(Sunday)

1)      Remind your supervisor to review your repetition check result via My-SJTU   App, once reviewed, student should do the sample check via My-SJTU App.

2)      If you are sampled, your thesis will be sent by SJTU graduate school or   ME school for blind review.

Expert review

Within 2 weeks

1) Please ask your supervisor to find two experts in advance(within SJTU)   and then tell their names to your secretary, to send thesis for expert reviews.

2) You can check the review results via My-SJTU App(论文评阅)

Submit the defense   application via My-SJTU App(答辩)and prepare the defense materials

At least 2-5 days   before defense

Prerequisite:

1) Pass the repetition check

2) Pass expert reviews

3) Thesis has been sent out for blind review (If you are sampled).

Defense

May 11-15,   2026

Secretary teacher will keep you informed of the detailed arrangement   and defense materials.

Upload thesis online   for archiving via My-SJTU App(答辩)

May 21, 2026

If you pass the defense, please upload thesis online for archiving.

The final thesis for online archiving cannot be modified after upload.   Please be very cautious.
